PDFRack provides free, browser-accessible tools for PDF manipulation, including merging, splitting, compressing, converting, password protecting, decrypting, and organizing PDF documents. The Service is provided free of charge without mandatory user registration.

3. User Content & Intellectual Property Ownership

You retain full and exclusive ownership of all files, documents, text, images, and content that you upload, process, or download via PDFRack. PDFRack claims no ownership, copyright, or licensing rights over your content.

By uploading files to the Service, you grant PDFRack only the limited, temporary technical license necessary to execute the requested processing (such as conversion, compression, or encryption). All processed documents are automatically and permanently purged from server memory and storage within one (1) hour of processing.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use PDFRack to:

• Upload, process, or transmit content that infringes upon any third party's intellectual property, trademark, patent, or privacy rights.
• Process unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or malicious materials, including malware, viruses, or exploit payloads.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, DDoS, disrupt, or exploit the underlying server infrastructure or APIs.
• Bypass document access controls or passwords on files for which you do not possess legal authorization.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ACCURACY OF PROCESSED OUTPUT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PDFRACK, ITS OPERATORS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

PDFRack operates as the Data Processor for uploaded documents and Data Controller for essential website metrics.

A. Document Files & Content

When you upload a PDF or image file to merge, split, compress, protect, unlock, or convert, your document is processed strictly in temporary volatile memory sandboxes. We do not extract metadata for marketing, build user profiles, or store file contents beyond the technical duration required to execute the conversion and allow you to download the result (maximum 1 hour lifecycle).

B. Technical & Diagnostic Telemetry

When you access PDFRack, we collect anonymized technical telemetry such as browser type, operating system, timestamp, and referring URL to monitor server health and prevent distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.

C. Anonymized Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We utilize Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymization enabled to analyze general site usage and optimize user experience. No personal document data or passwords are ever shared with Google.
